Job Description

We Drive You AND YOUR CAR HOME.Responsible Choice is looking for a few good people to join our team as dispatchers helping coordinate our drivers and book services for our clients.We are a premier, discreet, personal chauffeur service. Our drivers have been reducing the instances of drinking and driving by getting our clients home safely from the comfort of their own cars, 365 days a year, for over 18 years, in Ottawa and all its surrounding regions. Our philosophy is simple, being responsible and having a good time shouldnt be mutually exclusive.------Dispatch shifts are available 7 days/ week from 6:00 pm to 2:30 am.You must have significant weekend availability (Friday night/ Saturday night)!

  • You will open and close our office (Merivale/ Hunt Club) each night.
  • You will answer the phones, and monitor incoming emails, dashboards and our messaging platform.
  • You will be providing quotes, taking service requests from clients, dispatching those services to, coordinating and tracking our drivers.
  • Your role involves some general supervision of the drivers to help keep them focused when needed.
  • You will fill out nightly reports and do some basic data entry.
What Do You Need
  • Working knowledge of how to get around the city.
  • Be comfortable using email and messaging programs.
  • You will need a smartphone with data and your own computer or tablet (with a keyboard).
  • You must be comfortable talking on the phone several times throughout your shift.
  • Speak English fluently (bilingualism is an asset but not required).
  • Having your own means of transportation is an asset (but not required for dispatchers). But you will need to get yourself to and from the office (Merivale/ Hunt Club) and there is very limited bus service at the time your shifts finish.
