You must be a certified teacher or have previous experience working with children in an educational environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with parents and students, organization skills, time management and computer skills (google meets, slides, jamboard)Reading assessments, activities, lessons, and resources are provided to support all tutors for the most effective, efficient and successful lessons. Completed assessments and notes taken from lessons are required to be shared using the Learn to Read Platform. Training for this platform will be provided. Monthly meetings are required to review assessments, student progress and ask any questions. Together we will create learning plans for students, modify for any special needs and ensure you are fully prepared for executing excellent reading lessons.Depending on student needs, tutoring will take place at the Learn to Read home office ($25 an hour), in the students home ($45 an hour) or virtually ($20 an hour).
