Job Description

Celebrating 63 years of BusinessWe Bring Food to Your Family’s Table!We are now hiring a full-time Dock Receiver for our Ottawa terminal!Shift: Monday – Friday; 3:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for unload freight manually or mechanically from incoming trucks or trailers. Count product when required. Record any shortages, damages, overages on the pick-up or Linehaul manifest, and report any discrepancy to the shift Foreman, Lead-hand or OS&D.
  • Load or assist in loading appropriate freight onto delivery trucks or trailers and shrink wrap and block pallets when required. Ensure that appropriate bills are with the skid.
  • Ensure proper identification of products (E103).
  • Responsible for LTL order and when necessary, straight truck.
  • Locate orders according to slips (freezer). Ensure accurate piece count.
  • Stage orders on dock to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Responsible for inventory control (manual and computer).
  • All other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • dock experience preferred.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a team player.
  • A positive attitude, dependable, on time for work, and respectful with clients or co-workers.
  • Good understanding of safe work practices and ability to safely operate dock equipment.
  • Ability to lift freight and other objects up to 60 lbs.
