Job Description

ROLEAid sales strategies and tactics to ensure achievement of sales targets and objectives within a pre-defined area of responsibility by implementing market development activity initiatives channel functions and outputs to ensure the desired outcome are achieved. This role will heavily engage dealers, distributors, and local industry organizations to ensure we achieve brand awareness and create sales opportunities within a prescribed territory. **This position is remote, but must be located within the Greater Ottawa region.**RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for identifying market sales targets, strategies, and tactics for a specified territory
  • Responsible for conducting and/or coordinating ongoing comprehensive product and sales training to all channel partners to include distributors, contractors/dealers, engineers, architects, designers, builders, and others as prescribed by Regional Sales Manager
  • Communicate and disseminate new business opportunities in all sales channels to include, but not limited to, Residential New Construction, Plumbing, HVAC, and Energy to respective Territory Sales Manager
  • Schedule/Organize Market Development Events targeting channel partners, aiding our sales and brand initiatives
  • Maintain a positive and mutualistic working relationship with all channel partners
  • Responsible for the promotion of the Rinnai product range at various trade shows, “lunch and learns”, counter days, etc.
  • Provide monthly a detailed account of all training, competitive intelligence, product requirements, and pertinent information as prescribed by the Regional Sales Manager and as outlined in the Market Summary Document Template
  • Review field sales reports, consumer leads, and CRM to identify market development targets.
  • Travel to support sales targets and responsibilities. Time and expenses to be managed based on needs and expectations of a specified area
  • Implement all dealer, residential new construction, commercial, energy development strategies and tactics with market development initiatives as outlined by the Regional Sales Manager
  • Assist in forecasting market development initiative budget alongside Regional Sales Manager
  • Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment
  • Various projects as requested
  • Awareness and compliance of Company Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and property
KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Aggressive and seasoned in marketing/brand development and direct marketing with quantified results
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various web-based tools
  • Understanding of the changing marketplace and ability to adapt to change
SKILLS
  • Positive, sales-oriented personality
  • Strong team player
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present in front of groups
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • A high degree of technical and analytical skills. Must be able to support products with specific technical abilities

ABILITIES
  • Ability to multi-task and build effective relationships with various levels of the business partner, customers, or teams
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs
  • Up to 25% travel outside of the territory and/or travel in to the United States
  • Ability to safely operate company-provided tools, equipment, and property.

  • Achieve market development activity (counter days, training and lunch and learn)

Regional Management Support
  • Assist and adherence to forecasting efforts for the market development budget
  • Provide ongoing, effective, and timely sales and technical training on all product categories sold by Rinnai
  • Provide appropriate support in identifying and addressing field product performance/quality issues.
  • Initiate/Plan executable team marketing development plan for successful completion of major marketing development initiatives
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and property provided by Rinnai are used and maintained to an acceptable level

  • Deliverables submitted consistently by the due date
