Working closely and consulting with employees across the University, the officer implements the appropriate processes, systems and programs to support institutional priorities as they relate to alumni engagement. The officer represents Capilano University in its interactions with alumni and community partners as directed by the Manager, Alumni Relations.Duties include creating plans and strategies for approval to build lifelong relationships with alumni that serve to support the University’s mission and strategic priorities; writing and editing marketing and communication copy; coordinating volunteers; planning and arranging events; and performing general support duties. The position requires a deep understanding of privacy legislation and confidentiality.As a front facing ambassador for the University the Officer must exercise good judgment when interacting with Alumni, students and staff. The normal office environment is located on the North Vancouver Campus, however the incumbent will be required to travel to all four campus locations and attend events outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends.
