This is a seasonal position that runs from late November to early January.PropertyCapilano Suspension Bridge ParkPosition TitleCanyon Lights – Entertainers (Musicians)Application Deadline2021-11-16Duties/ResponsibilitiesEntertainers are responsible for creating memorable experiences for our Guests through formal and informal presentations. These include performing music sets, delivering programmed content, and creating on-brand ambiance by greeting guests and posing for photos in assigned themed costumes. Entertainers strive to enhance the Capilano Guest experience during our peak periods (summer and Canyon Lights).Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform fun, interactive, seasonal music shows as directed
  • Be present in the park to provide informative and hospitable ambience for visitors
  • Shares the history of Capilano with our Guests through tours, seasonal music and being ambassadors that are excited to chat with our guests,
  • Perform for special events as requested
  • Perform with a consistently high level of energy, commitment and enthusiasm
  • Ensure that all music material performed has been approved by leadership team as on-brand
  • Be familiar with the information and history of the Capilano Suspension Bridge
  • Actively participate in enriching your knowledge of Capilano’s history and the rainforest
  • Accurately answer Guests’ questions with an upbeat, positive and professional attitude
  • Escort, host and serve tour groups based on their itinerary and preference
Please note: anyone applying for a Entertainer position must be able to sing and play an instrument. After the application process, there will also be a panel audition.QualificationsWho you are:
  • Must be 100% Guest service oriented, excellent people skills with a positive & upbeat personality
  • 1 year of Guest service experience
  • Displayed competence as a singer and/or musician
  • Second language is an asset
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
  • While performing the duties of this position, Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (ie: rain, snow, sunshine)
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs
  • Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool
