Job Description

You are responsible for advocating, influencing, and architecting financial strategies and building practical modelling and reporting capabilities to drive value across the organization.You’re accountable for enabling the success of the organization through close partnerships, leadership, and collaboration with all major functions of the business.Meet Your Future Team:Reporting to the CEO of Arc’teryx you will work cross functionally with all members of the senior leadership team and liaise with Amer Sports financial leadership and board members for global alignment. Your Finance, FP&A and Accounting team is situated between Vancouver BC (HQ) and Ogden Utah.If you were in this role now, here’s what you would be doing:Building a Finance organization structure to support the changing business model to embrace our vertical future.Oversee the Brand’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditingExecuting foundational process of real-time budget and year end reporting to enable business executionPerforming risk management and mitigation activities by analyzing the organization’s liabilities, investments, and assets.Leveraging the support of the financial shared services Org to (AP, Payroll, Sales Audit and Inventory control) to best enable your team and businessGathering input from our C-suite and Amer Sports leadership for determine revenue, growth and EBIT targets by region and channel.Influence our vertical growth strategies through well thought out financial planning and profitability modeling.Creatively removing roadblocks for our leadership to enable agile thinking and business processesYou will lead the strategy behind building advanced financial analytics for the BrandAssure legal and regulatory documents are filled and monitor compliance with laws and regulationsIn 12 – 18 months from now, you will be working through:Managing the finance organization evolution to ensure we can strategically achieve our business goals and build a foundation for future expansion plans.Building links between operations and cash flow to unlock new strategies and operational plans to boost revenueYou are challenging our way of thinking and operating to examine alternative and creative strategiesPotential future responsibilities could include role oversight of treasury and investor relationsAre you this personYou have been successful in scaling Financial functions globally within a vertical brand and manufacturing environment.You have 10-15+ years experience in an executive level role within a global retailer.You are data driven with a background in Financial planning, projections, budgeting, accounting, risk calculationYou have obtained your CPA or MBAYou have an awareness of the Arc’teryx brand, product, and consumer.You have a deep understanding of the outdoor apparel and lifestyle industry and you understand the retail landscapeYou are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions through your growth mindsetYou seek the best (not necessarily the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is rightYou inspire breakthrough thinking and strive for continuous improvementYou remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguityYour passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living itArc’teryx is committed to actively creating and fostering a culture of inclusivity where voices are heard, people are seen, and values are respected.
