It is also to support the international office in the implementation of the Global Skills Opportunity (GSO) project, and development of partnership agreements that will support COIL, exchange, field schools, and articulation opportunities with selected institutions.This assignment aligns directly with the Internationalization Plan Action 2.5: Productive Pathways, and Action 3.1: Progressive Global Dialogue, and 3.8: Purposeful International Projects. The Assignment reports to the AVP, International and may require presentations to Academic Leadership and Senior Leadership Council.Specific Tasks of the Assignment include:Creation of a COIL workshop or bootcamp program that trains faculty on how to incorporate COIL into their instructional programming. This task will include the generation of all curriculum and teaching materials, promotional and communications content, and other relevant instructional content for implementation.Work with the AVP, International and Global Engagement office to establish and implement a COIL advisory group that will assist in designing and promoting COIL activities and opportunities for CapU instructorsAssist with research and design of field school models to help facilitate re-imagined mobility opportunities in alignment with the Global Skills Opportunity (GSO) projectAt the direction of the AVP, International, and working with the International Partnerships Officer, help advance current and future international partnership initiatives with institutions in other countries to facilitate COIL, exchange, and articulation activitiesWorking with the AVP, International:Regularly consult on progress and/or challenges of the overall assignmentCreate a COIL workshop or bootcamp program ready for implementation in Fall, 2022Format and implement a COIL advisory groupWork with and report to Departments, Deans, and Academic Leadership as requiredRequired Qualifications & ExperienceDemonstrated experience in designing and operating COIL training for facultyDemonstrated experience of managing international education projects that have involved faculty, students, alumni, and administratorsExperience in facilitating and completing academic pathway agreements with international post-secondary institutionsDemonstrated experience of working with international education leadership from post-secondary educational institutions around the globe on educational mattersExperience of working with faculty and administration from various institutional areas on curriculum and teaching matters.Posting Detail InformationInternal or External Position InternalAppointment Date (mm/dd/yyyy) 01/16/2023Salary Scale Faculty ScalePost Date 12/30/2022Close Date 01/06/2023Open Until Filled NoQuick Apply
