This is an exciting time to join the District, as we embark on a range of initiatives to transform digital service delivery, customer experience, and our approach to climate action.Position OverviewOur Finance Department is looking for a regular full-time Financial Analyst to support the annual financial planning cycle through financial modelling, analysis and budgeting work. You will recommend business process improvements and prepare a variety of financial reports and statements and assist other Finance staff as required.The successful applicant will:

  • Think strategically and see work through to completion
  • Solve problems through financial analysis and forecasting and model scenarios for the future
  • Have a sound knowledge of budgeting, accounting and reporting principles and practices
  • Be able to prepare a variety of statistical and financial reports using related software
  • Be proficient in planning and forecasting software, Microsoft Excel and other business applications
  • Have an interest in triple bottom line analysis, asset management and valuation of natural assets
  • Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts
Qualifications:You will have a CPA designation or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
