This is an exciting time to join the District, as we embark on a range of initiatives to transform digital service delivery, customer experience, and our approach to climate action.We are looking for a regular full-time Financial Planning Systems Analyst to join our Financial Planning team. This work leverages financial and non-financial information to support decision making and the annual financial planning and reporting processes. You will assess business requirements, recommend solutions, and act as project manager in the development or re-engineering of information systems and the implementation of information technology. In addition, you may perform a number of technical tasks to ensure systems are maintained and operated in support of the financial control framework. The work also entails data analysis, data maintenance and ad hoc tasks that support the team to carry out its deliverables. This work requires a considerable degree of independent judgement and action.Your work will help us transform our planning process and implement the District’s priorities. You have:Advanced skills in financial planning and analysis systems (preferably Hubble)Advanced skills with spreadsheets, data management, analysis and modelling, and ability to present findings effectively to different audiencesProficiency in enterprise resource planning systems (preferably JDEdwards)Ability to provide solutions to complex problems related to business processes and technologyExperience with budgeting, operations, policies and proceduresAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships and provide advice and assistance on matters related to the workAbility to act as project lead in the development of products (plans, tools, and processes)Ability to identify priorities and multi-task in a dynamic work environmentAbility to work independently as well as in a teamPositive attitude and professional work ethicsAbility to work in a blended team of onsite and remote team members, in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for learning and self-improvement.The pay range for this unionized position is $44.78 to $52.91 per hour (2021 rates), and is based on a 35 hour work week.
