Job Description

General Labour – Full‐time and Part‐time roles available Compensation: $20.00 ‐ $23.00/hourLions Gate Marine Centre is a full‐service marine center and dry boat storage facility, located on the North Shore in the marine‐industrial area near West 1st Avenue & Pemberton Avenue. We offer boaters secure dry storage for their boats and partner with marine trades to provide onsite marine services and repairs to customers at our full‐service work yard. We manage year‐ round marine‐related projects of all sizes, from annual maintenance such as engine repair, winterization, and bottom painting, to installs and large repair jobs.We are looking for self‐starters who enjoy the outdoors and want to work with us for the long haul. We offer lots of opportunity for growth and promotion including on‐the‐job training for forklift operations and related equipment‐operator work experience.We are in search of full‐time and/or part‐time labour. Evenings and weekend availability is required.In this role your tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Pressure‐washing boats
  • Clearing and cleaning work bays of materials and debris between scheduled work jobs
  • Daily inspection and cleaning of dock
  • Daily inspection and clearing/cleaning of boat storage areas
  • Mount/stabilize boats with keel blocks
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Proficiency in English
  • Enjoy working outdoors
Schedule & Shift Requirements:
  • The Marine Centre is open 7 days a week.
  • Shift days and hours will vary depending on operational demand
  • Staff are required to be available to work evenings and weekend shifts
