Who We AreSquamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing, and Squamish River watershed. With 12 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWorking as an integral part of the Ta na wa Shéway I7x̱w ta Úxwumixw Planning and Capital Projects Department, this position reports directly to the Housing Manager, this position is the administrative service provider for the department. The incumbent will act as the key “point of contact” between the department and the Manager and Director, providing critical communication and scheduling links. The incumbent operates at a high level of membership and customer interaction and must be able to respond with courtesy, tact and diplomacy. The Incumbent creates house budgets in conjunction with the Housing Manager, regularly tracks expenditures, has a full understanding of house budgets, and ensures that all costs are coded correctly. The main responsibilities of the Housing Project Coordinator include creating and tracking all housing budgets, processing purchase orders, records management, and the department accounting duties. The position creates and manages project budgets, coordinates work orders, purchase orders, processes invoices, and accounts payable inquiries on behalf of the Housing construction team.What You Bring
