Instructors may be expected to teach courses in areas such as Quantitative Methods, Business Information Systems, and Business Info Ethics, Privacy, Security & Sustainability. Faculty are expected to participate fully in all regular department/unit meetings and committee and administrative work. The School of Business offers courses in each term (Fall, Spring, and Summer), and each course requires competencies that are unique to the discipline.Required Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Qualifications & Experience

  • A Master’s degree in business, computer science, computer technology, or a related field of study
  • Certification in University Teaching or equivalent
  • Credential in online teaching or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or Business information Systems or Systems Analysis related position.
  • Previous post‐secondary teaching experience.
  • Strong depth and breadth knowledge in Business Data Management & Database Design and Implementation, Software design and implementation, Hardware and Network design and implementation, Business Process /Procedures Modelling, Systems Analysis, and Design and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • A broad understanding of current global and domestic management issues in business.
  • The ability to engage students through theoretical content and applied teaching methods.
  • Proven experience in the development and delivery of academic courses or corporate workshops and training.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Expected to engage and work in administration.
Preference
  • PhD or Doctoral experience in business, computer science, computer technology, or a related field of study.
  • Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP).
  • Can teach in various areas
  • Experience with Work Integrated Learning.
  • Knowledge of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles in an educational environment.
