These courses include 300-level Global Health and Society, and Leadership for Health and Physical Activity. The instructor will be expected to have leadership knowledge and experience in the health field. In addition, knowledge of major global health diseases, particularly in the areas of nutrition, communicable, non-communicable, environmental health and humanitarian crises.Required Qualifications & ExperienceREQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in kinesiology, health or related field
  • Experience in teaching at a post-secondary institution;
  • The ability to engage students through a combination of theoretical content-based and applied teaching methods; and
  • The capacity to apply and integrate content related knowledge in health and nutrition
PREFERRED
  • Online teaching experience with relevant pedagogy and technology knowledge
  • Considerable teaching experience at a post-secondary institution (minimum five years);
  • Considerable research experience in human kinetics, kinesiology or health
  • Adult education training and/or qualifications;
  • Preferred Ph.D. in kinesiology, health or related fields
  • Academic publication(s) on relevant topic(s) or in related field(s).
