The Manager will influence and drive lasting efforts in the University’s digital transformation, with significant impact through the transformation of our enterprise application systems. This role is also a member of the IT Leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction and continuous improvement of IT service delivery. You will be leading areas of university-wide strategy, critical components of this position include management of the: student information system; financial management systems; data warehousing system; application service delivery; and implementation and maintenance of line-of-business applications. You will work with a team of talented IT professionals, an engaged community and an impactful executive team.Do you share our purpose and passionWhat you’ll do

  • Lead, manage and continually improve enterprise systems service delivery, as directed by the CIO and following best practices outlined in the ITIL framework, with a focus on maintaining availability and performance to meet the university’s needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate across the university to develop, deliver and maintain enterprise technology and systems in a way that reduces technical debt and supports an increased pace of change.
  • Support a culture of data-informed decision making across the university by enabling access to data, in collaboration with respective departments / areas.
  • Provide direction and a systematic approach to enterprise architecture disciplines, including the development of architecture, development and design standards and templates.
  • Contribute to the integrated technology plan and annual IT work plan, and oversee the development of specific strategies, tactical plans, and initiatives. Analyze, investigate and evaluate emerging technology and trends, including product road maps, to determine impact on annual work plans.
What you’ll bring
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience, with 3 years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for delivery of enterprise systems, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with the ITIL framework and best practices; ITIL certification is an asset.
  • Progressive technical knowledge of application and database architecture, development concepts, and exposure to environments with a broad base of software solutions, technologies and platforms. Extensive knowledge of systems analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise architecture, including database platforms and modern development concepts such as data models and enterprise application integration.
  • Completion of a criminal record check.
