Job Description

Nchkaỷ Development Corporation (NDC) was established in 2018 as the economic development arm of the Squamish Nation - Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw. Nchkaỷs mandate is to develop, manage and own the active businesses of the Nation and was created to allow for the separation of business and politics within the Squamish Nation. Our mission is to generate wealth and create prosperity from economic opportunities for current and future generations of the Squamish Nation. This role is offered to members first and the broader community if an appropriate application is unavailable. This position will mainly work out of Nch’kaỷ’s Head Office.Position StatusThis is a Permanent Full-time position.Scope of the PositionProvides administrative support to the real estate team to ensure smooth transactions and oversees the day-to-day operations of the real estate business. Responsibilities include managing all paperwork while complying with legal paperwork procedures, scheduling appointments with clients for the final walkthroughs, and acting as a liaison for all involved stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.This position interacts with tenants and coordinates with Property and Real Estate Asset Managers, owners, executives, and developers, ensuring that every property lives up to expectations. Duties include mostly clerical work and keeping track of important documentation for real estate projects and property managers. Additionally, oversees marketing objectives and collaborates with other team members to facilitate community events.Duties, Responsibilities, Authority, and Accountabilities

  • Complete paperwork for all real estate transactions in a timely manner to ensure a deal is closed as quickly as possible.
  • Monitor deadlines and provide notices to appropriate parties when necessary.
  • Ensure each transaction complies with legalities and any tax withholdings are complete.
  • Schedule necessary appointments with all parties, including open houses and the final walkthrough.
  • Help organize community outreach events to improve our standing in the local area.
  • Produce all marketing materials including brochures, flyers, online marketing, social media posts, etc. to build our brand continuously
  • Compile and distribute weekly/monthly reports and communicate key results to the rest of the team to ensure company goals are being met
  • Deliver concierge-level customer service to sellers, buyers, and lenders to improve customer satisfaction ratings
  • Participate in training sessions to improve skills with administrative tasks in the real estate industry

Reporting Responsibilities and Authorities from Supervisor
  • Reports to Vice President Real Estate & Development.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in the real estate industry is beneficial.
  • Available evenings and weekends.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent team player with solid communication skills.
  • High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong people skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and senior management to maintain quality.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience working with First Nations is an asset.
