We’re looking for a highly competent security officer to join our team to monitor the premises and protect our valued staff, guests, and inventory. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard, as well as training in first aid. • Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control,
• Be always visible and observant, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner,
• Respond immediately to distress calls and emergency calls for disruptive guests or persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately,
• Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance,
• Collaborate with other security team members for effective protection and coverage,
• Patrol CSBP property on foot, ensuring building, fencing, and gates are attended to by the appropriate team members and are secure,
• Investigate and take the appropriate action, as authorized by the corporate policy, on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, and safety concerns,
• Complete daily reports, including all relevant information, observations,
• Lead efforts to protect company assets through Loss Prevention education, policies, and awareness,
• As required, assist with parking lot flow and guest communication with a focus on supporting the parking team members,
• Ensure gate entrances/exits are secure at all times, and as requested, monitor park entrances during special events and/ or construction projects,
• Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment & clothing are available, properly worn when required and properly inspected and maintained,
• Work with Operations supervisory team to partner with the Joint Occupational Health & Safety committee to ensure all established policies and procedures relating to work safe conditions are being met and/or exceeded,
• Ensure department team members are trained on First Aid procedures and practices, including critical incident procedures and kit locations,
• Take every reasonable precaution to ensure protection of Team Members and Guests, Safety First!

Qualifications

• Valid Security certificate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• First Aid level 1
• Experience and/or education in customer service
• Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal communication skills,
• Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as familiar with POS systems,

Working Conditions:

• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business,
• While performing the duties of this position, team members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time,
• While performing the duties of this position, required to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, rain and winter conditions,
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, and
• Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool,
