Job Description

Neptune Bulk Terminals (Canada) Ltd., a leading bulk material export facility located on the North Vancouver waterfront, is seeking an individual to join our Projects and Engineering team. The Site Project Manager demonstrates excellence in ensuring all assigned projects (sustaining capital and significant repairs) for Neptune Bulk Terminals are completed on time and on budget. The Site Project Manager actively manages and audits the performance of contractors and consulting engineers on site, and acts with integrity to ensure all safety, environmental, community relations and maintenance standards are adhered to. This is a temporary full-time position, reporting to Director of Engineering and Environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellence in the safe and effective management of projects.
  • Plan all project activities, manage contractors, tenders, costing, reporting, scheduling.
  • Effectively communicate/coordinate all work required with Maintenance, Operations and other Site Project Managers.
  • Ensure all required parts and materials are available for work orders and preventative maintenance.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of cooperation and excellence between Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Engineering and Purchasing employees.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong planning and organization skills, coupled with ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, CMMS systems, MS Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Experience working in a highly industrial environment
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum University or technical/trade school graduate, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Prefeed registered Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in site project management role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in material bulk loading/unloading in a waterfront, mining, heavy industry or similar operation.
