Nchkaỷs mandate is to develop, manage and own the active businesses of the Nation and was created to allow for the separation of business and politics within the Squamish Nation. Our mission is to generate wealth and create prosperity from economic opportunities for current and future generations of the Squamish Nation.This role is offered to members first and the broader community if an appropriate application is unavailable. This position will mainly work out of Nch’kaỷ’s Head Office.Position StatusThis is a Permanent Full-time position.Scope of the PositionAs the Vice President of Communications, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating strategic communications programs to advance Nch’kaỷ’s mission, reputation, mandate, and organizational goals.Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President will oversee the development and leadership of a high-performing communications team. You will be responsible for all strategic corporate communication initiatives and ensure a high-quality standard and innovation in the planning and execution of communications for Nch’kaỷ’s programs and activities that serve our key stakeholders, which include the Squamish Nation Members, Squamish Nation Council, Nch’kaý’s Board, our employees, as well as internal business leaders, other external stakeholders, media and public.
