Our programming is designed to support and enhance social connections, health and well-being, and resiliency. Our goals are to foster vibrant, inclusive and caring communities where residents feel a sense of belonging and can thrive. In Fall 2021, CCSS will be moving to a new community centre in the Lower Capilano area. In this space, CCSS will be partnering with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission and the District of North Vancouver Public Library, to offer social programs and support services to the local community.Overview of Volunteer Coordinator RoleThe Volunteer Coordinator will, plan, develop, coordinate, and support the volunteer program at CCSS, with the direct supervision of the senior management team. Working collaboratively with other CCSS staff, the Volunteer Coordinator will assess opportunities for volunteer placement, develop proactive recruitment plans, manage the volunteer database, provide training, mentoring and coaching to volunteers, and act as an advocate for volunteerism in the community while reflecting the overall mission and values of the organization.The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in the organization to ensure the community we serve is actively engaged. As the organization will be moving to a new community centre, and expanding our programs and services, this role will be of critical importance in developing an inclusive and diverse volunteer base and creating new volunteer roles.RESPONSIBILITIESVolunteer Management and Program Development
