Job Description

Direction of Youth Protection –TeleworkingSTATUS: Temporary full-time position, for twelve (12) months with possibility of extension, 35 hours per weekSUPERVISOR: Director of Youth ProtectionSTARTING DATE : As soon as possibleFUNCTIONS:Under the authority of the Director of Youth Protection, the person will; perform activities of evaluation, analysis towards ending the compromising situation of the client; ensure and conduct activities related to revising as stated by the Youth Protection Law; participate to optimize accessibility to the services offered, efficiency of reception, to permit appropriate intervention and treatments that respond to the client’s needs, in collaboration with YP / LCSC / Rehabilitation interveners of seven points of service on the Ungava coast.Specific responsibilities include:Revising the situation of children under the Director of Youth Protection responsibility in collaboration with YP / LCSC interveners;Ensuring commitment of both the parents and child in the revision process;Evaluating goals and required time frame of the interventions;With the designated intervener, determining options and best measures to implement;Playing an active role developing strategies towards collaboration within the establishment, animate workshops and meetings;Ensuring conformity and respect of revision policies and procedures, collect statistical data for each client;Carry out the planning and organization of the court itinerary;Performs a liaison agent role during the court, in that, the person ensures effective communications between all the agents involved (layers, clients, stakeholders, department heads, etc.) ;Providing administrative and clinical reports and performing any other tasks required by his/her superior.The person is called to travel to Kuujjuaq during the itinerant court or as needed.QualificationsMust be a member of l’Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec OR l’Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec Québec OR l’Ordre des criminologues du Québec (in accordance with Law 24)Must have a Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology or Educational Psychology or criminologyMinimum of 4 years of experience in youth protection (evalution/orientation, application of measures and / or revision)Relevant clinical work experience in intervention with youth having difficulties;Knowledge and mastering the application of the Youth Protection Law and other Laws related to Youth Centers;Professional leadership, decisive, organizational skills, able to adapt to a different environment and culture;Fluent in English and French (spoken and written), Inuktitut is an asset;Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and interested in sharing knowledge and experience with co-workers;Available to travel to Kuujjuaq;Developed computer skills.Conditions and benefitsSALARY: Minimum: $ 961.10 Maximum: $ 1 763.65 / 35 hoursAdditional detailsSend your application by email: emploi.cstu@ssss.gouv.qc.caQuick Apply
