Job Description

Youth Protection – Kuujjuaq“Evaluation and Orientation”STATUS : Temporary full-time position (35 hours/week, dayshift) One year with the possibility of an extensionWORK SCHEDULE: 1 month (teleworking) for 2/3 weeks on the territoryIMMEDIATE SUPERIOR : Head of service –RTS (EO)STARTING DATE : As soon as possibleSUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:Person whom, under the authority of the Director of Youth Protection and his Head of services, perform (paired with authorized person) activities of analysis, conception and evaluation for the signalements retain and the conception and actualization of intervention plans in order to put an end to the compromising situation of beneficiaries. The person would also have to implement measures ordered be the Court or the agreements of voluntary measures. The person will assume some psychosocial on-call duty. The person will be asked to make replacements in one of the seven communities of Ungava Bay (Regional evaluation). The successful candidate will be required to work in conjunction with an HRO who is a member of their Order in Orientation Assessment.QualificationsMust hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Social Work Techniques or hold a certificate of collegial studies in social work techniques or in social assistance techniques;In the absence of candidates who meet the full requirements of the position, a candidate with a diploma in an appropriate discipline (e.g. social work, special education, delinquency intervention, etc.) may be considered;Have a theoretical and practical knowledge of the Youth Protection Act and the concept of protection;Have relevant experience with children in youth protectionAbility to communicate correctly in English, French and ideally in InuktitutAbility to adapt to a different culture and environmentA sense for analysis and synthesisCapacity to work in a context of emergency, instability and pressureCapacity to work in a team;Discrete, autonomous, emphatic, diplomat, responsible, with a good sense of listening, added with initiative, strictness and proper judgmentDetain a valid driver licenseMust be available to travel to Ungava Bay communities.Conditions and benefitsSALARY : Min.: 879.30$/ week Max.: 1248.45$ /weekNORTHERN PREMIUM : 203.66$ /weekHIGH COST LIVING PREMIUM: 61.16$/weekRETENTION PREMIUM : 114.99 $ / weekAny employee recruited in Québec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her/his status, shared lodging or transit if needed.Additional detailsSEND YOUR APPLICATION IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH BY EMAIL: emploi.cstu@ssss.gouv.qc.caQuick Apply
