Career Opportunity“The Willowsâ€Community Seniors Cooperative Ltd.Location: O’Leary, Prince Edward IslandThe Willows is a new 50 room Community Care Assisted Living Facility that is being developed by the Community Seniors Cooperative. The Board of Directors is currently seeking a Manager for the facility who will have the ability to be involved in the development of the Willows from the construction phase through to actual daily operations.This is a very exciting opportunity to work with the Board of Directors and our community towards this ambitious goal. The Willows is a cooperative and as such will operate based on “cooperative principles†while respecting each resident’s right to self determination and happiness.The ideal Applicant will possess:- A passion for working at the community level- An appreciation for working with a not for profit Board of Directors- An understanding of the needs of those who require housing as a result of physical and/or mental ability and a commitment to “The Resident Bill of Rightsâ€- A proven ability to network with like organizations towards common goals- Experience in leading teams of people in a complex working environment- Demonstrated ability in bringing together multidisciplinary teams, conflict resolutions, and developing loyalty- All immunizations recommended and approved by Health Canada and required by the Board of Directors – this is a condition of employment.- Proven ability to balance fiscal demands with legislated program requirements- A desire to create a home for people that is welcoming, caring, and safe for residents while at the same time is a workplace of “first choice†for potential employees.- A University Degree in either health care, business or hospitality management is preferred, however demonstrated equivalencies will be considered.- Considerable experience in facility management (a minimum of 3 years)- Extensive management experience in an environment where client satisfaction and safety are the drivers of decision making (a minimum of 5 years)- Experience in staff recruitment at local and international levels- A current criminal record check, access to a car and current driver’s licenseThe Willows offers:- A competitive salary and benefit package ($60000 - $70000 commensurate with qualifications)- Flexible scheduling- A dynamic work environment- Partnership with Community Organizations- Support from the Board of Directors (many of whom have healthcare experience in leadership and clinical roles)Interested persons can submit their applications no later than Jan. 28, 2023 to the Community Seniors Cooperative Ltd.
