Job Description

Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Public Works, the Health & Safety Administrative Coordinator assists in developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating Health & Safety programs that provide assistance for employees. This is a fast-paced position which requires attention to detail while working on multiple tasks at once.Key Responsibilities The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.   • Achieve and maintain COR certification;
  • Assist in administering orientation programs to employees;
  • Provide and schedule training and testing;
  • Develop and update safety procedures and policies;
  • Perform workplace inspections and take appropriate action to ensure compliance;
  • Investigate safety concerns within the workplace;
  • Investigate workplace near misses, accidents and injuries;
  • Site Docs Management;
  • Tool box talks and sign off;
  • PSD Service requests / work orders;
  • Fleetmatics (GPS Equipment Tracking), initial fleet set up, employee assignment set up, monitor daily working conditions, correct errors with software tech and install specialists;
  • Create, enter and close out work orders;
  • Assist Managers with administrative projects and tasks;
Job Requirements (minimum standards)· Grade 12/ GED Equivalent.· Safety and COR training courses and experience considered an asset.· Minimum two years experience in administration and safety administration.· Knowledge of MB Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations.· Strong leadership skills.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $22.00 per hourAdditional pay:

  • Oakbank, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • Health & Safety: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 2 years (preferred)
