Position Summary: The Police Service Administrative Clerk reports to the Police Chief and is responsible to provide efficient administration services, meeting the publics needs with regards to information, complaints, as well as to provide excellent customer service to the citizens of Springfield. This position performs a variety of duties including answering telephone calls, relaying messages by radio, entering data into the Police data base systems as well as compile statistical data and maintain records and any other duties as required.Key Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.Ø Prepare documents for administrative, investigational, and court purposes;Ø Input all Provincial Offence Notices (PONs) into the RCMP Data Base;Ø Correlate all PONs and input all data into the Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) Data Base;Ø Track all MPI Traffic Enforcement Shifts, ensuring Overtime is adhered to;Ø Submit monthly MPI Traffic Enforcement Spread sheets to the Province of Manitoba;Ø Track MPI request for various Highway Traffic Offences and submit to MPI as requested;Ø Be capable of walking through either RCMP or SPS on first aid procedures over the radio until the arrival of EMS;Ø Draft memoranda, reports, letters, court documents, schedules and other documentation as directed or required by members of the service.Job Requirements: Ø Minimum grade 12 education;Ø Minimum 2 years of administrative assistance experience;Ø Post-secondary education in the administrative field is preferred;Ø Demonstrates excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills;Ø Deal effectively with people in difficult situations;Ø Strong computer skills.Additional RequirementsØ Must have valid Canadian driver’s licenceØ Must be a Canadian citizenØ Must pass a security clearance investigationØ Must pass Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Records checkJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $20.00 per hourAdditional pay:
