Job Description

Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist (ref: 1109978)Location: Oakville – Hybrid(2-3 days a week in office)Salary: $60-64,000 + RSP Match + Benefits Your new company My client is a successful mid-sized consumer products manufacturing, wholesale, distribution operation, with its head office located in Oakville. Your new role They are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the VP Finance and will be responsible for the following areas;

  • Post cheques, EFTs, credit card payments and refunds in Epicor
  • Investigate and resolve short payments and any discrepancies
  • Perform collection calls when accounts are overdue
  • Process credit card transactions and refunds on terminal
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding AR
  • Daily cheques e-deposits
  • Maintain/update customer profile
  • Run/Print Aged receivable reports
  • Use judgment to place/remove customers from credit hold
  • Assess credit applications to establish credit limits
  • Complete vendor request forms
  • Generate, print and mail out customer statements
  • Manage online portal and EDI accounts
  • Assist with year-end process as required
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist other departments on AR related issues
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to VP Finance and other departments
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, attend other meetings and seminars
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the VP Finance
What you #39;ll need to succeedThe successful candidate will have 5-10 years experience within an Accounts Receivable position, including credit and collections(B2B) exposure. You will have a friendly, positive attitude and a strong work ethic. You will have the ability to work independently and have a strong attention to detail.
