Our client is a reputable insurance company in the market with services include Commercial title insurance and Residential mortgage processing services. They are now looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join their team. Position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, enhancing, and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, under a collaborative environment.Responsibilities:Ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level.Promote data governance established roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities; Ensure continued engagement and activations of the data governance council and committee.Facilitate the development and implementation of Data Protection, Data quality standards across the enterprise.Define the system and the indicators of the quality and performance metrics and ensure compliance with data-related standards and policies.To lead and coordinate with senior and top management such as IT business and Operations heads regarding Data Governance.Requirements:3+ years of experience working in the data domain, with a focus on data governance, data management, or related roles.Preference to computer science or information systems related degrees.Extensive knowledge of data governance concepts, frameworks, industry best practices, tools and technologies that have been acquired through previous working experienceExisting knowledge base with data privacy regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR, Law 25 ) and data security practices.Experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.Proven track record of successfully driving data governance initiatives within complex organizational environments.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skill.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to articulate and interact with non-technical business users on their data needs.Certifications in data governance (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Data Governance and Stewardship) are highly desirable.
