Job Description

YOUR JOB:As a QA Technician you will make sure all Kerr #39;s products are top quality and safe for consumers to eat!

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Monitor the manufacturing and wrapping of Natural Health products and confectionary products to ensure compliance to specifications.
  • Work closely with production to resolve quality issues.
  • Verify recipe (formulation), staged pre-weighed ingredients lot code, shelf life, weight, for accuracy prior to start-up.
  • Verify proper usage of ingredients, batch weight, lollypop/drop weight, wrap and stick integrity, wrap usage for accuracy during processing.
  • Verify records for accuracy from start to finish of production cycle of NHP products.
  • Ensure that all quality incidents are properly documented and the appropriate people notified/kept informed. Place products on hold as required.
YOUR SKILLS:2-3 years in a quality assurance role, in a food manufacturing environmentCompletion of college or university degree in a science related to food manufacturingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a multi-tasked environmentWE WANT YOU!You are compliant, organized, methodical, routine-oriented, analytical, attentive to detail, with a need to get things rightDay shift: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 6:30 pmFriday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (as required) $2.00 shift premium applies.
