Job Description

WORKPLACE DESCRIPTION:The Odessa Co-op is a thriving, locally-led co-operative with a loyal membership and with a community-centred focus on fuel delivery, shop services, hardware sales, and convenience fuel station services. This Co-op is also Odessas Canada Post outlet.JOB SUMMARY:As a member of The Odessa Co-op team, the Post Office Coordinator: will provide exceptional front-facing service with a positive, professional approach toward all customers; will be dependable for all scheduled shifts; will continually develop and leverage strong knowledge of Canada Post retail outlet procedures and requirements; will develop a good understanding of the main POS till; will maintain retail postal outlet stock inventory, as required; will be focused on the success of the Co-op in a safety-oriented and customer-centred manner.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Organizing and delivering retail postal outlet services (courier items, postal boxes, postal sales, etc.) to Odessa and area; assisting with retail postal outlet financial reporting in order to meet revenue goals; provision of information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all Co-op members and non-members; handling and recording transactions through the point of sale terminal; accurately and efficiently processing all customer purchases to meet established standards; responding to general customer inquiries and being familiar with in-store promotions, bulletins, and updates; ensuring all retail site areas, including postal outlet areas, are safe, organized, and clean.QUALIFICATIONS:The Odessa Co-op needs a reliable individual with leadership and retail experience who a) is committed to a safe working environment b) is interested in working for a community-centred Co-operative with a loyal membership c) is ambitious, team-oriented and who is passionate about serving people d) is accurate and comfortable when using standard and emerging digital technologies (email, online ordering web platforms, Excel and Word) and e) is physically fit and able to regularly lift, pull, push items over 25 lbs.Candidates with prior Co-op knowledge and experience are preferred.Candidates with prior postal outlet knowledge and experience are preferred.Candidates with Class 5 Drivers License are preferred.Candidates must be available for occasional weekend and evening work.JOB IS LOCATED IN ODESSA, SK.(Only screened candidates will be contacted; we thank you for your consideration.)Job Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 26 per weekSalary: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:
