YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARDInvites applications for the position of:Behaviour Resource WorkerOSSTF-PSSP 2 - $27.25 - $44.50 per hour (plus vacation pay)(2) Temporary Full Time PositionsPosition Summary:Under the direction of the Supervisor, Behaviour Resources Services, the Behaviour Resource Worker provides direct service to students with a range of behavioural, social, emotional, developmental and mental health issues.In addition, Behaviour Resource Workers perform behaviour assessments as well as develop and implement behaviour management plans for a group of schools.Major Responsibilities:Provide direct service to students who experience social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.Develop and implement pro-active programs for students experiencing social and behavioural difficulties.Provide classroom and student focused consultation regarding behaviour management, intervention strategies, and implementation of programs to promote change.Perform behaviour assessments, develop and implement behaviour management plans.Liaise with Teachers, Principals, Board personnel, parents and outside agencies as appropriate.Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation of case files.Provide in-services to Board personnel with regards to behaviour management issues as required.Qualifications and Experience:Advanced 3-year College Diploma – Child and Youth Worker4 – 5 years academic or clinical experience with children across the range of exceptionalities and providing coaching and developing behaviour plans.Interested applicants may apply until the close of business on September 2, 2022 .Thank you for your application.We appreciate your interest in the York Catholic District School Board, however, only applicants selected to continue to the interview process will be contacted by Human Resources.Commitment to EquityYCDSB is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an environment of diversity and employment equity and is dedicated to creating a workplace culture of inclusiveness that reflects the diverse communities that we serve.We are proud to have built a culture that thrives on idea-sharing and collaboration, always finding ways to continue to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive work environment.
