We are leaders in our communities in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast and pride ourselves on helping shape a better tomorrow.About the opportunityAs part of the University’s centralised Financial Operations unit, the Travel Office is a small and vibrant team, responsible for coordinating the extensive travel requirements for our staff and student groups. The Travel Officer provides advice and manages bookings to support the University’s domestic and international travel arrangements. Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Establish effective and compliant domestic and international itineraries for University travel, including student and group bookings;
  • Monitor travel requests and approvals ensuring a seamless booking process for all stakeholders; and
  • Provide visa, security and medical advice and risk information when applicable.
About youYou are an experienced travel consultant or officer with a background in domestic and international travel bookings. You have strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments, with a proven track record in excellence in client service. More specifically, you have:
  • A relevant qualification at Certificate level, or three years travel industry experience;
  • Excellent time management skills and the proven ability to contribute to a successful team environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Demonstrated computing skills including experience in Microsoft Office suite and databases with excellent attention to detail.

  • Casual opportunity, with hourly rates ranging between $41.19 – $49.13, plus 17% superannuation
  • Located at either Gold Coast or Lismore.
