Job Description

Our Client, a prominent children #39;s hospital in Ontario is seeking two Childamp; Youth Psychiatrists for different departments and scopes of practice, Emergency Department (Transitional Unit) and General Childamp; Youth Psychiatrist (Outpatient). Emergency Department (Transitional Unit)The General Childamp; Youth Psychiatrist will be a crucial member of the new Transitional Unit within the Emergency Department. This unit is designed to provide immediate psychiatric assessment, intervention, and short-term stabilization for children and adolescents facing acute mental health crises. As a Psychiatrist, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and supportive approach to care.General Childamp; Youth Psychiatrist (Outpatient)As a General Childamp; Youth Psychiatrist in the outpatient department, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions affecting children and adolescents. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.Qualifications:

  • Medical degree and specialized training in Psychiatry
  • Certification or eligibility from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) with American Board Certified. American Board Certified Psychiatrists are eligible for an independent license
  • Eligibility for licensure in Ontario and membership with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
