Job Description

Xello is looking for a Content Engagement Specialist__We are on the hunt for a Content Engagement Specialist who can help us deliver an unparalleled content experience to our K-12 student audience. To excel in this role, you will have expert research skills and the ability to identify, assess, and organize large volumes of content.You effortlessly speak the language of our audience and get what drives them. You’re in your element when using apps like YouTube, Reddit, Tiktok, Discord, and Instagram, and you love exploring new media platforms. You understand content trends, what resonates with your audience and you love to experiment.What you’ll do…

  • Work with highly collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver relevant content that engages, educates, and inspires our users
  • Source and curate a high volume of content that meets our content / editorial guidelines
  • Describe and publish content via our CMS
  • Refine our best practices and iterate with input from a larger cross-functional team
  • Monitor emerging trends in social and other media types
What we’re looking for…
  • In-depth knowledge of social media trends for the 12- to 24-year-old age group
  • Experience writing authentic content that speaks to student and young adult audiences
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • A global mindset that advocates for content that internationalizes well, and able to work with our localization team to continuously improve quality
  • Awareness of best practices for web content accessibility (e.g. captioned videos, reading levels, consumption behaviours, etc.)
  • A well-organized, conscientious, and self-motivated person
  • Ability to self-manage and deliver assigned work within given timelines
