We are looking for a highly motivated, smart, and technologically savvy individual that would like to work on the entire data analytics stack from designing and building data pipelines to providing stakeholders with action-oriented insights. The individual will be key contributor in enabling a data-driven company culture by ensuring the various teams at the Yorkville University have the data they need to make sound strategic decisions in a timely manner. They will use best practices to ensure data flows reliably from the source of data acquisition to consumption for analytics while documenting data definition & processes along the way. What will you do:End-to-End Data Management

• Develop ingestion, transformation, and cleansing pipelines to prepare a variety of structured and unstructured data sources for data analytics
• Assist with maintaining current data pipelines made up of multiple sources flowing to a centralized data warehouse
• Monitor and improve data quality through the creation of new mechanisms to guarantee data accuracy and completeness
• Design and implement dimensional and tabular data models for new data sources
• Work to improve data definitions and data integrity across the organization
• Partially or completely automate repeatable data preparation and integration tasks in order to minimize manual processes
• Ensure data flows are well documented through UML diagrams and process explanations

Data Analysis & Visualization

• Create and update existing dashboards for stakeholders to monitor key business metrics
• Collect, organize, analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences
• Build reports to track test coverage, overall data quality of the project and effectiveness of test automation

What you bring:

• University degree in computer science, business intelligence, information architecture, data analytics or another related field
• 1-3 years of experience of relevant business intelligence/data analytics experience
• Experience in Data Modelling, ETL Development, Data Workflows, and Data Warehousing
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, creating dashboards to track key performance indicators using PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL (query authoring, window functions, subqueries, etc.)
• Knowledge of data pipeline development tools (e.g., dbt, FiveTran, stitch, etc.)
• Driven, passionate, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding writing and documentation skills
• Knowledge of data modelling using fact and dimension tables
• Excellent attention to detail, specifically related to data quality
• Knowledge of programming languages in a data pipeline development context (e.g., Python)
• Familiarity with certain cloud computing suites (AWS, Azure, GCP) considered an asset
