Local System SupportContract Full-time- up to 18 monthsHuman Services- Integrated Business SupportsCUPE Local 966Role:This position provides provides technical support and user administration to Provincial and local applications.Major Responsibilities:Prioritizing workload to ensure job responsibilities are completed in a prompt and accurate mannerCommunicating with Regional and Provincial contacts to maintain system integrityActs as liaison for Ontario Works program delivery staff with Provincial contactsInvestigates problems with local applications to identify issues and appropriate course of actionReferral to external resources may be necessaryInforms staff of local application related problemsMaintains and co-ordinates user access rights to Provincial and local applicationsMaintains, through tracking software, details of issues and outcomesQualifications:Completion of a college diploma in an information systems programA minimum of two years’ experience in a related fieldThorough knowledge of Microsoft applications including Windows, Excel, Word and AccessTime management and organizational skills to prioritize workload, ensuring job responsibilities are completed in a prompt and accurate mannerExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide user support and liaise with appropriate contactsAnalytical and problem-solving skills to determine appropriate course of action and solutions to system related issuesPreference will be given to qualified applicants who are currently in the bargaining unit.This position is a bargaining unit position represented by CUPE Local 966.
