In Abbott #39;s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we #39;re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.WHAT YOU #39;LL DO- Coordination of day-to-day case coverage for the region. Work with other regional Procedure Specialist Managers and/or Regional Directors to provide backup support as needed. Communicate regularly with other Managers to share experiences and create a learning organization;- Provide procedural and technical coaching and training for Procedure Specialists in the region to create a consistent and exceptional customer experience that differentiates Abbott;- Be responsible for setting annual objectives for Procedure Specialists, ongoing performance discussions and year end performance reviews;- Be responsible for approval of vacation requests and expenses;- Coordinate regional customer education programs consistent with the business objectives of the region;- Provide strategic input and recommendations to Abbott management on organizational and competitive strategy;- Provide continuing clinical support to established Abbott accounts. Working with sales team to develop long term relationships;- Attend procedures involving Abbott products and assist by facilitating proper use of products, collaborative problem solving to optimize outcomes;- Provide educational services to medical staff and allied health professionals, on subjects related to Cardiac Rhythm Management and mentor and guide colleagues to provide Electrophysiology education to fellows, medical staff and AHPs;- Provide training on products, procedures, and applications to Abbott Staff;- Contribute to Clinical, Training and Education and Sales Organizations as a speaker/trainer, developer of training materials and/or Technical Memos on new technologies (including competitive products);- Attend and provide directions during evaluation of bundled EP and CRM products to first-time users;- Maintain open collaboration and communication with all product division and functional areas within Abbott to promote synergy;- Professional Development:- Maintain expert status and continuing clinical and technical proficiency in cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology fields. Product expertise should go beyond features and benefits, focusing also on design, development, clinical applicants and competitive positioning;- Attend scientific symposia, congresses, or other meetings for continuing education and to support product displays;- Maintain proficiency in CRM or EP procedures;- Provides other related functions on an incidental basis as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor #39;s degree;- Minimum of 5 to 8 years related experience;- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical experience in cardiology, electrophysiology and/or working with implantable ICDs, pacemakers and CRTs;- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. French is an asset;- Driver #39;s license and ability to travel within territory with some travel outside of territory up to 75% of the time;- Conversant in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint;- Ability to influence, approachable, ability to build credibility with customers as a knowledgeable resource;- Ability to deal with ambiguity;- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills;- Demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;- Bradycardia, CRT and Tachycardia certified and/or Electrophysiology certified;- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities;- Proven leadership skills - able to motivate and drive team;- Extensive knowledge of the Abbott product portfolio;- Familiarization and promotion of Abbott policies, standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
