Equally as important will be the contribution to team leadership, development and coaching for the London market team and collaboration across service lines, sectors, and geography with a purpose of providing wholistic services to Grant Thornton’s clients.More specifically, the Partner, Assurance will be accountable for:+ Supporting the growth, management, and development of the Practice for London Ontario+ Participating in the operation as a “one business unit” to ensure Grant Thornton brings the best talent to our clients, no matter their office address+ Playing a key leadership role within the business unit, service line, community, and firm, by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business plan+ Leading and providing solutions to privately held business clients for accounting matters, as well as guiding and advising through growth in current business and financial conditions+ Developing and implementing a growth strategy for the Assurance practice in the region that complements and is supported by the firm’s overall strategy for growth+ Improving on the operational results of the practice by developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients from a variety of industries+ Contributing to new business development by understanding Grant Thornton LLP and its service offerings, as well as leveraging your credibility within the industry+ Actively participate in business development efforts, including working collaboratively with senior leadership, partners, and marketing professionals to target and build relationships with client prospects+ Developing a high-performing and highly engaged team through mentoring and coaching managers and associates+ Participating in the coaching and the performance management process of the practice by conducting timely performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback, and training to develop team membersIdeal Candidate Profile:+ A University Degree (preferably business) and a formal Chartered Professional Accountant (CA, CGA or CMA) designation is required.+ A minimum of 10 years’ experience in public accounting.+ Has been / currently is a Partner within a Professional Services firm.+ Advanced technical expertise in accounting, audit experience is a strong asset.+ Demonstrated experience in growing a practice by maintaining existing clients and acquiring new clients.+ Commitment to quality, excellence and continued personal and professional growth.+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional interpersonal skills.+ A proven ability to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels.+ Ability to influence decision-makers, to be regarded as a trusted advisor.+ A proven leader, mentor, and coach has managed comparably sized teams and has managed managers. Can point to a track record of developing direct reports.+ Innate business acumen skills with demonstrated agility and a drive for results.+ Will have a high energy level, be self-motivated, results oriented.+ Has a proven ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports to deliver exceptional results in increasingly demanding and fast paced, dynamic environments.Quick Apply
