The Release Manager collaborates and partners with all technical and business stakeholders to proactively identify interdependencies, priorities, risks and dates. The Release Manager develops, maintains, and communicates a master release road map in conjunction with IT, Services and Development. The Release Manager will be responsible for enforcing established and new release management process and policies.Advent Software, Inc. where highly skilled professionals power the market in automated solutions for investment professionals, is currently seeking a highly motivated Release Manager at our office in London. • Plan, schedule, coordinate, manage software releases for multiple applications across different portfolios
• Maintain the release schedule for all applications to ensure alignment across key business partners
• Coordinate release content across multiple interconnected and disperse applications
• Lead and coordinate the go-live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
• Manage risks and resolve issues that affect scope, schedule, and quality
• Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams in different locations
• Communicate release details and schedules to the business
• Communicate all key project plans, commitments and changes
• Monitor progress to ensure applications are delivered on time and
• Negotiate, plan, and manage all release activities
• Monitor and measure progress to ensure that applications are released on time and that they meet framework designs
• Release reporting to key resources, business partners and others on defined cadence
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
• Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as procedures, dependencies, notifications, dates, and timing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of previous release or project management experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Operations, IT, or development
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Leadership and analytical skills
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
