Job Description

T Bell transport has an immediate opportunity for a Shop & Operations Manager at our Espanola location. You will be responsible for leading our fleet and project operations ensuring safety of the team and compliance with regulations. You will work closely with other department managers and the health & safety team.As Shop & Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the shop to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise shop activity including shop repairs, inspections reports, inventory control, purchase orders, plate replacements and sticker renewals.
  • Oversee and coordinate the operations of aggregate and snowplow seasons
  • Ensure work safe practices are being followed and report any infractions in order to ensure safety of employees
  • Communicate with existing clients on a timely manner and pursue new job opportunities for the company
  • May operate heavy equipment as necessary
The Operations Manager position is well-suited for you if you have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mining Engineering preferred
  • Solid understanding of aggregates
  • Experience in supervisory/management role
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment construction is an asset
  • Exceptional organization skills, people skills and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 as well as ERP systems and electronic logs.
  • DZ license is an asset
