Job Description

Job Summary:Our architecture office is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Level Architectural Technologist specializing in Exterior Envelope Building Systems to support our team of architects and engineers in designing and constructing high-performance building envelopes.The successful candidate will have experience in building envelope design and detailing, as well as knowledge of building codes and construction methods. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow in their role.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist architects and engineers in developing exterior envelope building systems for new construction and renovation projects
  • Produce architectural drawings and details for exterior envelope building systems using AutoCAD or Revit software
  • Conduct research on building envelope materials and systems to identify best practices and ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that exterior envelope building systems are integrated with other building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  • Perform field inspections to verify compliance with design and construction documents
  • Assist in developing project specifications and reviewing contractor submittals
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on exterior envelope building system design and progress
  • Other duties as assigned by senior management
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in building envelope design and detailing
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit software
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction methods
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient building practices and materials
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
