Job Description

DescriptionParkland County has a temporary, full-time position available within the Chief Financial Office for an Accounts Payable Administrator working from approximately September 2022 to March 2023. Reporting to the Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for all duties relating to accounts payable including matching, checking, and processing for payment of all invoices and payment requests. This position is also responsible for managing internal monthly purchasing cards expenses and providing backup support within the Chief Financial Office when required. The successful candidate must be analytical with good attention to detail while possessing strong numerical accuracy and data entry skills.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma supplemented with post-secondary courses in business administration, preferably in accounting.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounts payable and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in customer service, cash handling and filing systems would be considered an asset.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective, tactful, service-oriented relationships with staff.
  • Must be adept in learning financial/ payroll software.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
