Job Description

DescriptionParkland County has a Permanent, Part-time position available for a Compensation & Payroll Analyst. Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Total Rewards, the Compensation & Payroll Analyst is responsible for all duties related to full cycle payroll processing, benefit administration, and the timely collection and processing of payroll data specifically as it relates to the budget process and generation of internal reporting for the department or for other areas of operations. This position will also ensure staff receive the information and support they need to understand their pay and payroll systems.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation and completion of the Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Three to five years’ of payroll experience is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Familiarity with applicable legislation and governance (Alberta Labour Standards, Canada Revenue Agency, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy) is required.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective, tactful, service-oriented relationships with staff.
  • The ability to be flexible and thrive in working in tight deadlines with excellent time management skills is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required with Excel proficiency and adept in learning financial/payroll software is required. Previous experience with Microsoft D365 and Ceridian would be an asset.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.
Rate of Pay: $32.64 to $40.80 per hour.Hours of Work: 35 hours biweekly (at the discretion of the Supervisor).Benefits: Extensive benefits are offered.Quick Apply
