Job Description

Hazelton Fine Art Galleries - Port Carling (Muskoka) Pop UpHazelton Fine Art Galleries (Yorkville) has a strong presence in Toronto and internationally and is recognized as one of the most diverse galleries in the city with over 100 artists and featuring a wide variety of high calibre works including contemporary art, modern masters, traditional and historical paintings, as well as contemporary bronze and Inuit sculpture.We are expanding with a pop up gallery in Port Carling from May-OctoberArt Consultant/Sales Assistants position:

  • assisting with daily operation of the gallery
  • promote the artwork exhibited
  • provide assistance and deliver as much information on the works of art
  • process sales transactions
  • assist in maintaining a strong client base
Requirments:
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • must be willing to work with a minimum amount of supervision
  • knowledge in fine art an asset
  • experience in retail and sales preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 5 monthsPart-time hours: 8-40 per weekSalary: $18.00-$20.00 per hourAdditional pay:
  • Commission pay

  • Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Port Carling, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
  • sales: 1 year (preferred)
