You will work closely with the management team to promote Independent and Assisted Living (AL/IL) on a holistic level for our residents.What we expect from you:

  • Develop and offer a wide variety of exciting, holistic, recreational programs for our residents to support their emotional, physical, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
  • Coordinate and enthusiastically lead resident outings and facilitate entertaining resident activities.
  • Coordinate a volunteer program, schedule and manage employees and volunteers.
  • Prepare departmental budget and reports.
What you will bring:
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in working with seniors in a recreation function.
  • First Aide Level with CPR required.
  • High energy, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to facilitate fun! Should be able to turn a dull situation into a fun activity or memorable moment.
  • Successful completion of recreation or therapeutic recreation diploma or degree program.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted and diverse, team, work environment.
  • Empathy for and understanding of the needs of seniors, their families and the professionals engaged in their care.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships.
