They assist with developing and amending policies and procedures. The Aquatics Supervisor monitors, evaluates and recommends improvements to the B/W/U aquatic programs. They supervise and instruct aquatic training sessions.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and LicensesCollege diploma or certificate in Physical Sciences, or a related field and some years of experience in aquatics or a related fieldOR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience will also be consideredCurrent CPR and Standard First Aid certificationCurrent National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certificationCurrent recognized Swim Instructor certificationHIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE SportHIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy ChildrenExperienceIn evaluating, planning, preparing, organizing, conducting and coordinating the delivery of aquatic programsIn instructing training sessionsIn employee supervisionIn applying policies, procedures and regulationsIn supervising the work of volunteersCompetencies, Skills and AbilitiesClient focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSEnglish EssentialReading: FunctionalWriting: FunctionalOral: FunctionalBENEFITS AVAILABLEWork Life Balance: Vacation pay.Retirement Planning: Group Savings Plans.Learning and Development: Free second language training.OTHER INFORMATIONThe successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector CheckOPEN TOThis unionized position is open to all interested parties.
