Job Description

We are seeking a Part-Time BudtenderIsland smoke is Quinte areas first licensed cannabis retail store located in Trenton ON. 100% locally owned and operated. We offer a large range of cannabis and accessories it is our goal to offer safe and legal cannabis products in a relaxing and friendly environment.Island Smoke recognizes that our employees are the soul of our success and will aim to provide our customers with an extraordinary cannabis experience as part of Island Smoke you will be part of a growing brand with lots of opportunity within A new cannabis industry. It is our vision and mission to properly educate cannabis users in this growing industry and to elevate the consumers experience.Duties/ responsibilities

  • Reports to the store manager
  • greets and engages customers in a friendly manner
  • be an exemplary role model of the Island Smoke brand
  • Stay up-to-date on current strands and products that we offer
  • demonstrates excellent knowledge of cannabis products
  • responsible for processing sales and all types of payments on a POS terminal
  • Flexible with job duties ex: back stock room, floor sales, cash counter, check ID at door if needed
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the store (sweeping, wiping down surfaces etc)
  • Fulfill online click and collect orders
  • Adhere to all operational rules, regulations, policies and procedures and ongoing training
  • Optimize customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Answering phones
  • Ensure safe physical distancing between customers
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Cannabis Knowledge is A MUST
  • Complete cannsell certificate before first day of work(at your own cost)
  • Able to pass criminal record check and provide proof
  • 19 + years of age or older
  • excellent customer service skills and follow the rules put in place
  • strong communication skills
  • positive attitude and a team player, follow all rules
  • Retail experience preferred
  • you are passionate about cannabis and is excited to bring it to the market for recreational purposes
  • Able to lift boxes 5-30lbs
  • Must be available and willing to work days, evenings and weekends, holidays as required by the needs of the business
  • You are trustworthy and customer oriented
  • you are open to feedback and coaching
  • Respected by your colleagues because you lead by example with hard work, honesty and integrity
