Job Description

Drum Miner OperatorLocation: Scissor Creek NutrienStart Date: ImmediateReporting to the Supervisor – this role will include but not limited to:Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the duties of a miner operator safely, efficiently, and as collaborative team player
  • Take part in safety meeting and inspections, and follow standard operating procedures
  • Experience in operation of drum miner, scoops, alpine miners, and other cutting equipment
  • Communication with maintenance and operations departments
  • Follow Noble and Nutrien safety policies
  • Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talk with supervision
Job Skills:
  • 5 years minimum experience underground
  • Experience in using a Stoper and rock drilling
  • Training and experience running continuous miners, alpine miners, scoops, and other underground mining equipment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Experience with Ventilation/ Air flow underground
  • Experience with Ground Control Underground
  • Valid General Mine Safety Awareness (GMSA)
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required
  • Supervisor experience would be an asset
