  • Provide safety leadership, ensure compliance with all safety and workplace rules
  • Provide guidance and coaching to front line supervisors and have a consistent field presence
  • Manage the activities of the Production Team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve established production goals within approved budgets, company guidelines and legal requirements
  • Monitor employee performance and address non-compliance
  • Collaborate with other Mine Operations Teams to make diligent and reliable production plans
  • Collaborate and Coordinate work with Maintenance and Engineering
  • Initiate changes to operational procedures and conditions as needed
  • Perform needed compliance checks, key procedure audits, and area inspections
  • Investigate non-routine and recurring downtime issues to ensure that appropriate remedial actions are taken
  • Ensure compliance with all Corporate and Divisional goals related to performance metrics, safety systems, and operational excellence
  • Actively administer labour relations by establishing union leadership relationships
  • Contribute to developing our Culture of Care
What you will bring:
  • 5+ years experience in an underground mining environment
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • An underground supervisor certificate
  • Mine Rescue certifications, involvement in O.H. & S, and experience in Exposure Based Safety programs would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership qualities coupled with the ability to engage and inspire, coach and mentor others
  • Computer proficiency
  • Good written and oral communication skill
  • Excellent organizational skills
