Job Description

Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.The RoleWe are searching for a Construction Project Manager based in St. Andrews, NB, someone experienced in managing commercial construction projects with a solid understanding of project management principles.Responsibilities

  • Keep close and regular communication with clients and project stakeholders
  • Execute assigned projects
  • Attend on-site and/or virtual progress meetings and produce meeting minutes
  • Able to read and interpret various drawings (architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural)
  • Supports the management of subcontractor and supplier contracts and agreements
  • Manage the execution of projects to ensure quality control, scope, schedule and budgets are strictly adhered to
  • Monitor and manage project financials regularly and produce monthly progress invoices to clients
  • Maintain project issues log with assistance from the on site team
  • Issue RFIs (Requests for Information) in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up to date change logs
  • Ensure the overall health & safety of the project site
  • Liaise with support teams as required
  • Other duties as may be assigned due to operation requirements
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Must have strong project management skills, including solid understanding of trade scopes, project sequencing, and coordination of work
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook,
  • Must be a strong communicator
  • Able to read and interpret drawings (architectural, mechanical and electrical at a minimum)
  • Good understanding of relevant municipal and provincial codes and standards
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Project Manager for a Commercial General Contractor.
  • Engineer / Business / Project Management courses, College, or University programs graduate (preferred).
