Job Description

True North Salmon, a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program has opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join the Company’s Distribution/Shipping Team based out of our facility located in St. George, New Brunswick.Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly-skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.The RoleAs the Frozen Inventory Controller, reporting to the Shipping Manager, you will be required to work a Monday to Friday shift.Shifts Available:Day Shift (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)You will be responsible for:

  • Receiving frozen product from production and outside warehouses
  • Receiving gels and feeding production gels
  • Building customer orders and maintaining inventory, FIFO
  • Combine, re-pile and fix damaged pallets
  • Keep a tidy warehouse
  • Forklift license (sit down and/or high reach) an important asset
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team in a high-demanding, deadline-driven environment
  • Preference will be given to candidates with shipping/receiving experience; however, on the job training will be provided
  • If you do not have forklift operating experience, you must be willing to take the forklift operators training
  • Salary commensurate with experience which includes a competitive health and dental benefit package.
